Kenya has long been known for its athletes who have won a number of gold medals in the Olympics. The people of Kenya are friendly and the country is also unique. Kenya is also the birthplace of “Safari” as it is known all over the world. It is for “Safari’ that Kenya has today become the ultimate destination for the wildlife lovers.
Kenya is also very famous for its wildlife which is the prime attraction of a Kenyan safari which can be found in the many wildlife parks of the country. Some of the most famous national parks of Africa such as the Masai Mara, which is known for the migration of the wild beasts, Amboseli, Tsavo and Lake Nakuru are located in Kenya.
Kenya also has a wide coastline with tropical beaches which are very popular amongst the foreign tourists visiting the country. Malindi and Mombasa in Kenya offer some of the most excellent beach and vacation holiday experiences that you can enjoy in the country.
The “Maasai” tribesman of the country is the most famous tribe in Kenya. They have been able to retain their ancient traditions and culture despite the western influence. The Swahili coast which stretches from Mogadishu in Somali to Sofala in Mozambique, is also a part of the Kenyan coast.
The Masai Mara Game Reserve is Kenya’s most popular place to visit as it has a lot of things to offer to its visitors. Here you can find accommodation and lodges and also modest budget camps. Masai Mara also offers the great safari experience that will remain in your memories for as long as you live.
Some of the most famous lodges are the Keekorok Lodge, Mara Simba Lodge, Mara Sopa Lodge and the Mara Serena Lodge. The Masai Mara Lodge has been built in the direct path of the migration of the wild beasts. During the height of the migration, the lodge is surrounded by a swarm of wild beasts which makes a wonderful sight. Sometimes if you are lucky enough, you may also see a lion make a kill. All in all, it would definitely be more adventurous to opt for a Kenyan holiday rather than booking villas in Spain.
